Canada Express Entry: Deadline Extended For Permanent Residence Applications

 If you are a skilled migrant who wishes to settle permanently in Canada, then you must go through Canada’s Express Entry application process. However, it seems that those waiting for the next Canada Express Entry draw round might have to wait a while. Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has stated that there is a 60-day deadline extension for the submission of a permanent residence application.

This is what the IRCC tweeted from the X (formerly Twitter) handle:

“Some applicant could not upload their express entry applications because of technical problems in the online form. This is having an impact on mature children who live with their parents while pursuing post-secondary education. We have informed each applicant by hand, and we are working at a fast pace to solve the problem. We have added 60 extra days for the persons to file a permanent stay application.”
